Will Machine Gun Kelly finally win a Grammy? Nominees who could win their first award in 2023

The 2023 Grammy Awards’ “Back to Normal” theme references a few years of schedule and location adjustments as a result of COVID-19.

The Grammys are sometimes referred to as “Music’s Biggest Night,” and in 2023, the nominees, presenters, and performers may all concur. Artists have the opportunity to increase their visibility at The Recording Academy’s annual showcase with jaw-dropping musical performances, eye-catching costumes, and possibly the occasional joke, good or bad. The 65th annual event will be held on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles (formerly the Staples Center).

The Black Keys

The Black Keys have received 16 Grammy nominations overall, including two for the song “Dropout Boogie.” They are up for Best Rock Album.

Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly received this nomination for Best Rock Album for his song “Mainstream Sellout,” which was released in 2022.

He saved the envelope with his name printed on it after being nominated back in November because he was so happy about it.

Nomcebo

The possibility of Nomcebo winning a Grammy Award on Sunday would be arguably her most amazing accomplishment. 

The South African musician, who has sold platinum records, is recognised for Bayethe, the groundbreaking project she created with Wouter Kellerman and Zakes Bantwini, in the category for Best Global Music Performance.

GloRilla

GloRilla has received additional co-signs from Mary J. Blige and Nicki Minaj in addition to others, and she has been nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 2023 GRAMMYs as a result of her infectious enthusiasm and hard-hitting flow. Glo will compete at the awards ceremony against formidable opponents such as Doja Cat, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, Gunna, and Future.

“I was just getting off the plane in L.A. I didn’t believe it until I got on Twitter and I saw them saying it. I couldn’t believe it for a minute. I thought they was lying,” She told GRAMMY.com

Anitta 

The project Versions of Me demonstrated Anitta’s multifaceted approach to success, and she now has a GRAMMY nomination to show for it. 

For those who have been fans since the release of Anitta’s self-titled first album in 2013, the Brazilian star’s nomination for Best New Artist at the 2023 GRAMMYs may seem like a long time coming. With the global smash “Envolver,” which she released last year, she finally broke into the United States after first being well-known in her native Brazil and afterwards in Latin America.

“I feel really special. First of all for the nomination, to be part of the GRAMMYs. That makes me feel like I’m doing a good job. I’m on the right path. But also, I felt really special that I was nominated for the Best New Artist category. I feel happy that people understand that for me it’s a whole new world,” she said to GRAMMY.com
