The New Orleans Saints seem to have another injury issue as
their starting left tackle Terron Armstead was treated on the field and then
walked off the field with trainers favouring his left arm in the first quarter
of their National Football League (NFL) game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

The Saints won the game 28-13 as the final buzzer blared, with Alvin Kamara and PJ Williams scoring the touchdowns.

Armstead appeared to get hurt when his teammate, running
back Tony Jones Jr, ran into his arm while trying to help him ward off a
Patriots edge rusher.

The Saints were already without usual starting center Erik
McCoy to begin the game before also losing Armstead. Veteran tackle James Hurst
entered the game in place of Armstead and the Saints marched another 43 yards
for the game’s opening score on Jameis Winston’s 11-yard pass over the middle
to running back Alvin Kamara.

The Patriots also lost a key cog of their offense after running back James White was carted off the field early in the second quarter with a hip injury. The team says he is out for the remainder of the game.

White was being tackled along the sideline by Saints linebacker Demario Davis after a 6-yard run with 11:34 remaining in the quarter when he landed awkwardly on his knees.

This is the first big-money fixture on the weekend. This is
the first time the two teams have met since 2005 that Drew Brees and Tom Brady are
not the opposing quarterbacks.

Coming off their first win last week against the Jets, the
Patriots want to keep that momentum going ahead of the highly anticipated
return of Brady in Week 4. Meanwhile, the Saints are hoping to bounce back
after an ugly 26-7 loss at Carolina.

Although the third round of fixtures was kicked off by some
Thursday Night Football action, where Carolina Panthers eased past the Houston
Texans 24-9, there are a plethora of matches unwinding on Sunday.
