Author Taslima Nasrin COVID+, says ‘haven’t stepped out in a year’

Author Taslima Nasrin tested positive for coronavirus and she shared the news on her social media wondering how she got infected despite being inside her home for over a year. The Bangladesh writer lives in New Delhi after she was forced to leave Bangladesh in 1994 amid protests.
She tweeted, “I haven’t stepped out of my home for more than a year. Didn’t allow anyone to enter my home. I was alone with a cat. And then I caught covid-19. Wish I knew how caught it.”

On her Facebook post, the author wrote: I’m forever very unlucky. I have been alone in the house since March of last year, an indoor cat as a companion, didn’t take a step outside, didn’t let anyone enter the house, cooked, washed the dishes, clothes, cleaned the house, and did everything by myself. Was it worth anything?

Taslima left her country after she was accused of hurting religious sentiments through some of her writings.
