Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka ODI: Bangladesh win toss, choose to bat first

  • Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal on Tuesday won the toss and chose to bat first
  • Bangladesh has already won their previous match against Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series
  • Sri Lanka, who lost the first ODI by a 33-run margin, have not introduced any changes in the playing XI

Bangladesh cricket team captain Tamim Iqbal on Tuesday won the toss and chose to bat in the second One Day International of the ongoing series against Sri Lanka, AFP reported.

Already having won the first match in
the three-game ODI series, Bangladesh have made two changes in their playing XI
in the form of debuting left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam and batsman Mosaddek Hossain,
whereas Sri Lanka decided to not make any shuffling to the squad which lost the
last match by 33 runs on Sunday.

Notably, Sri Lanka till now have not lost a single ODI series against Bangladesh.

That, although, could become a reality in the second match, as Sri Lanka’s batsmen eye an improvement in their batting after getting all out at a score of 224 in the first ODI in response to Bangladesh’s total of 257.
