After staying in the hospital for two weeks, Prince Philip’s condition is slightly improving, AFP reported quoting his daughter-in-law Camilla.

During her visit to the vaccination centre, Camilla said that the 99-year-old has shown improvements but is still hurting. He was moved to a specialist unit two weeks back for some heart tests.

In what is his longest stay at the hospital, the 99-year-old’s health condition has worried people, especially because of his advanced age. Although he had entered the hospital unaided, soon after, the Royal Family announced that he was being treated for some infections. They had not made any other comment over it at that time.

On Monday, Prince Philip was shifted from state-run St Bartholomew’s Hospital near St Paul’s Cathedral for running some tests. In 2011, he had already gone through surgery for removing a block in the coronary artery.

In his absence, Queen Elizabeth has been managing all the royal duties despite her husband’s illness.

Their son, Prince Edward, said that his father was looking to get discharged but Prince William reiterated that his grandfather was in good hands.

Both Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth had been self-isolating at their Windsor Castle since the start of the coronavirus pandemic because of their advanced age.

Prince Philip will be turning 100 years on June 10.
