National Ability Summit highlights: Towards a more inclusive India
- This is the first-ever edition of the National Ability Summit
- It is being held virtually and is spearheaded by Varija Life
- The summit will discuss the need to create awareness on disability and an environment where they feel welcome
The Day 1 of the National Ability Summit (NAS) began with discussion on startups that are working for the differently-abled community. A range of other issues were discussed on Wednesday. These included the pressing issue of mental health, both from clinical and non-clinical perspective, the issue of employment for the differently-abled and the skill development needed to bridge the gap. Discussions also revolved around films and how the differently-abled community is represented, misrepresented and ill-represented.
The two-day National Ability Summit is being held virtually. This is the first ever edition of the NAS and is spearheaded by Varija Life, a Not for Profit Organisation under fashion and lifestyle brand Varija Bajaj.
