Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli on Tuesday appealed to citizens to follow COVID-19 and lockdown-related protocols. In his appeal, made in a video posted on the Delhi Police’s Twitter handle, he underscored the need to co-operate with the police during these tough times and fight against the rising COVID-19 cases.
He also stated that if we need to fight the virus again with the same intensity as last year, we need to follow the protocols and help the frontline workers. Captain Kohli asked all the citizens to wear masks and use sanitizers while stepping out of the house.
He also appealed to the essential workers and other people who need to step out of the house to maintain social distancing and hygiene. He ended the video by saying that if every citizen is safe and follows the guidelines, our nation as a whole will be safe too.
