Earlier this month, Ukraine’s 7-year-old Amellia Anisovych shot to global fame for singing a track from Disney’s 2013 animated film ‘Frozen’ in a bomb shelter in Ukraine’s Kyiv.

Anisovych, who is now a Ukrainian refugee in Poland, has gripped the world with her melodic voice yet again, this time, by performing her homeland’s national anthem on stage at a charity concert held in Poland.

Thousands of concert attendees waved lights in a dark stadium as Anisovych sang on Sunday evening. Wearing a traditional Ukrainian embroidered dress, the 7-year-old performed live at the ‘Together for Ukraine’ concert.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Amellia Anisovych fled to Poland with her sibling and grandmother. Her parents remain in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

The concert was held at the Atlas Arena stadium in Lodz in central Poland by Polish and Ukrainian artists.

The concert raised over $380,000 from television viewers, with an additional $800,000 offered by the concert’s organizer TVN media group. The group belongs to the U.S. Discovery Inc.

Earlier this month, Amellia Anisovych went viral on social media for singing the Disney track in a bomb shelter amid Russia’s attacks. Her video was first uploaded on Facebook by a user named Marta Smekhova.

“From the first word in the [bomb shelter] came complete silence… everyone put their business aside and listened to a song by this girl who was just beaming light… Even men couldn’t hold back the tears,” Smekhova wrote in the caption.

The video was then shared by American actor and singer Idina Menzel, who played the role of Elsa in ‘Frozen’.

“We see you. We really, really see you,” Menzel wrote on Twitter with blue and yellow heart emojis that represented the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
