AIADMK releases first list of candidates for Tamil Nadu polls, CM Palaniswami to contest from Edappadi
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami will contest from Edappadi constituency
- Deputy CM will contest from Bodinayakanur assembly constituency
- The assembly polls in Tamil Nadu will start from April 6

The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu releases its first list of candidates for the April 6 assembly polls. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami will contest from the Edappadi constituency in his home district of Salem.

Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will contest from Bodinayakanur assembly constituency.
This comes after AIADMK leader VK Sasikala quit public life, asking all ‘true supporters of Jayalalithaa’ to prevent “common enemy” DMK from coming to power in Tamil Nadu in assembly polls.
