All MPs to undergo COVID-19 test before Budget session: Lok Sabha Speaker

  • RTPCR tests will be conducted in Parliament premises on January 27-28: Lok Sabha Speaker
  • Vaccination drive policy finalised by Centre, states will apply to parliamentarians as well: Om Birla
  • The Budget Session will begin from January 29

Lok Sabha Speaker Om on Tuesday informed before the upcoming Budget Session, all MPs will be requested to undergo COVID-19 test before start of Parliament session, reported PTI.

He said that Rajya Sabha will sit from 9am to 2 pm and Lok Sabha from 4pm to 8pm beginning from January 29. The session will conclude on April 8 with a recess in between from February 15 to March 8.

Birla said that vaccination drive policy finalised by Centre, states will apply to parliamentarians as well. “RTPCR tests will be conducted in Parliament premises on January 27-28 and arrangements have been also made for RTPCR tests of families, staff members of MPs.”
