As COVID cases rise in Pune, list of services open and closed from tomorrow

  • New restrictions will be imposed from tomorrow, April 3
  • Religious places will be completely shut for a week
  • Public buses won't ply for the next seven days from Saturday in Pune

Ahead of Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray‘s address to the state on Friday amid surging COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, Pune, which is one of the worst coronavirus infected district, announced several new restrictions to be put in place to contain the spread of COVID-19 from tomorrow, April 3.

The restriction will be imposed for a week starting from Saturday. Here’s what will be operational and what will be closed in Pune for the next seven days.

Closed (from Saturday, April 3)

1- Hotels to remain closed.

2- Bars, Restaurants and Cinema halls will not be operational for the next seven days.

3- Religious places will be completely shut for a week.

4- No public gatherings, except weddings and funerals will be permissible.

5- 12 hours night curfew from 6 pm to 6 am.

6- Buses of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) will remain off roads for a week.

What remains operational

1- Weddings and Funerals will be allowed to take place with the capacity of 50 people for weddings and 20 for funerals.

2- Home delivery of food will be operational

3- Essential services will remain unaffected

4- Factories will be allowed to remain operational
