BCCI annual contracts: Hardik Pandya moves up to grade A, Bhuvi drops to grade B
- The BCCI retainer contracts are for a period from October 2020 to September 2021
- The payment is structured in four categories - A+, A, B and C
- Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are included in the A+ category
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced its contract retainership for the senior men’s team, with skipper Virat Kohli among three players in the highest – A+ category. The contracts are for a period from October 2020 to September 2021, with the payment structured in four categories – A+, A, B and C.

A+ category players get Rs 7 crore, A category players get Rs 5 crore, B get Rs 3 crore, while C get Rs 1 crore.
Along with Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been included in the A+ category. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been promoted to the A category, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been included in the B category.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been demoted to the C category while Manish Pandey has been excluded from the list.
A category: Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya.
