“Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues to investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. There are certain speculative reports in media that the CBI has reached a conclusion. It may be reiterated that these reports are speculative and erroneous,” read the statement.
This comes after reports of the Special Investigating Team (SIT) probing the case submitting a closure report of the case to a CBI court in Bihar in a few days were doing rounds.
Earlier, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ (AIIMS) Forensic Medical Board had submitted a report which ruled out all the claims that the actor was murdered.
Actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was accused by late actor’s father for abetting his son’s suicide, has been booked for drug-related matters in the case. She was recently released from the jail on bail. However, her brother Showik Chakraborty’s bail was denied.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14 and since then three national investigating agencies, CBI, ED and NCB, are probing the case.
