The Congress on Thursday revoked the suspension of two MLAs Bhanwarlal Sharma and Vishvendra Singh just hours ahead of the crucial legislative party meeting in Jaipur. Both Sharma and Singh had supported Sachin Pilot when he revolted against Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot last month.
“After a consultative discussion, the suspension of @INCRajasthan MLA Sh. Bhanwarlal Sharma ji and Sh.@vishvendrabtp ji is hereby revoked,” Congress general secretary Avinash Pande said in his tweet.
The two MLAs were suspended from the primary membership of the party for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to topple the Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that it will move a no-confidence motion against the Gehlot-led Congress government in the state assembly. Rajasthan Assembly session is set to begin August 14.
