The Internet has decided that the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s big screen debut in the Ms. Marvel television series was worth the wait. Fawad’s presence occurs early in Ms. Marvel’s fifth episode and is used to provide further information about Kamala Khan’s ancestry. Iman Vellani from Canada portrays Kamala, one of the two South Asian superheroes in the MCU (Kumail Nanjiani plays Kingo in Eternals). Teenage Pakistani-American Kamala has superpowers because of jewellery her grandmother gave her. Fans first meet Fawad Khan as Hasan in episode 5 of Ms. Marvel, a British Raj independence warrior who falls in love with Aisha, a being from another dimension who is trying to get home. Kamala’s great-grandparents are Hasan and Aisha, who are portrayed by Mehwish Hayat in the film.

Fawad Khan has the opportunity to display his versatility as Hasan, appearing in both romantic scenes with Aisha and serious parts in his position as a liberation warrior. Since the Ms. Marvel episode aired, Fawad Khan has become one of the top trends on Twitter, much to Twitter’s delight. One fan wrote: “Gawd, Mehwish Hayat and Fawad Khan’s chemistry in the current episode of Ms. Marvel.” after being blown away by the Hasan-Aisha dynamic.
Ms. Marvel has won plaudits for its in-depth depiction of South Asian customs and culture. Fawad Khan is not the only well-known actor in the series; Farhan Akhtar played a crucial role in the fourth episode as Waleed, a vigilante leader who aids Kamala as she is being pursued in Karachi. The cast is made up of a large number of Pakistani and Indian actors.
