Two days after police and protesting farmers clashed at a number of places in New Delhi, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Thursday announced that the entry gates of Jama Masjid metro station still remained closed. It has also kept the entry and exit gates of Lal Quila metro station closed.

“Entry/exit gates of Lal Quila metro station are closed. Normal service is available on all other stations,” DMRC tweeted.

The farmers’ tractor parade on Republic Day turned violent, resulting in police and farmers clashing in several parts of the city. This resulted in the DMRC closing the entry and exit gates at several metro stations. DMRC had tweeted that entry and exit gates of all stations on the green line have been closed.
