Gold, silver and other metal prices on November 16, 2021
- Gold futures were trading at Rs 49467.00 per 10 gm, up 169 points or 0.34%
- Silver futures were trading at Rs 66980.00 per kg, up 417 points or 0.63%
- Platinum was trading at $1,091.50 while palladium was trading at $2,140.00
Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Gold futures were trading at Rs 49467.00 per 10 gm, up 169 points or 0.34%, in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at $1,866.90 per oz.

Platinum was trading at $1,091.50 while palladium was trading at $2,140.00. Silver futures were trading at Rs 66980.00 per kg, up 417 points or 0.63%. In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 48,170 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 66,967 per kg on Monday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of Rs 56,200 in 2020 as the dollar strengthened on hopes of a swift economic recovery as Covid vaccination picked up the pace.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation.

Separately, Brent crude, the international oil standard, increased 0.89% to USD 82.78 per barrel. In early trade on Tuesday, the Indian rupee fell 7 paise to 74.53 against the US dollar.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 740.35 up 0.18% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 1512.50 and Rs 210.20 per Kg respectively on MCX.
