Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian musician
Ricky Kej for winning his second Grammy award on Sunday.

The US-born musician shared the award with Stewart Copeland,
the drummer of the iconic British rock band ‘The Police’, who collaborated with
Kej on the album.

At the 64th Grammy Awards ceremony, held at Las Vegas’ MGM
Grand Marquee Ballroom, Kej greeted the audiences with a namaste when he took
the stage with Copeland to receive the prestigious gramophone.

The music composer later shared a post on Instagram
expressing his gratitude for his second win.

”So grateful to have won the Grammy Award for our album
‘Divine Tides’. Absolutely love this living-legend standing next to me –
Stewart Copeland. Love all of you too! This is my 2nd Grammy Award and
Stewart’s 6th,” he wrote alongside a picture with Copeland.

Ricky posted two pictures on Twitter featuring him and PM
Modi along with the Grammy trophy. While the first image was from 2015, when
Ricky won his first Grammy award,  the
second one was from a recent meeting.

He wrote, “7 years Challenge!! Pic- 1 – 2015 when I won my
1st Grammy. Pic- 2 – 2022 when I won 2nd Grammy award. Hon’ble PM@narendramodi
ji looks EXACTLY the same.. but I have aged a lot…. Hahahaha. What is your
secret sir ? @PMOindia.”

PM Modi congratulates Ricky Kej’s Grammys 2022 win

Modi tweeted his congratulations on Kej’s ‘remarkable feat’
at the Grammys. He also extended wishes for the artist’s future endeavours.
”Congratulations for this remarkable feat and best wishes for your future endeavours!”

First Grammy-winning album ‘Winds of Samsara’

The album “Winds of Samsara” produced by
Bengaluru-based musician Ricky won the Best New Age Album trophy at the 57th
Grammy Awards at the Staples Center on Sunday, in Los Angeles.

Ricky shares the award with Wouter Kellerman, a well-known
flautist from Africa. Another Bengaluru-based musician Prakash Sontakke has
co-composed the album.
