‘India had supporters within England team throughout decisive Brisbane match’: Stuart Broad
- The India-England series will be beginning on February 5 at Chennai
- Stuart Broad said that the visitors have moved on from being ‘admirers to their (India's) enemy’
- The right-arm pacer insisted on not letting the hosts get inside their minds
England speedster Stuart Broad recently stressed upon
the fact that even though facing Virat Kohli-led India – who are coming off
with a recent series win in Australia – will not be an easy task, England will
need to focus on themselves during the four-match Test series beginning on
February 5 in Chennai, he said in a column in the Daily Mail.
“This is not an easy place to tour, and India’s
confidence will be sky high from winning at the Gabba to complete a series
victory in Australia earlier this month. I can tell you that they had
supporters within this England team throughout that decisive match in
Brisbane,” Broad was quoted as saying in his column.

The veteran, however, further stated that the visitors
have moved on from being ‘admirers to their enemy’, adding that the Indian
ranks are not impregnable and reiterating that the England team needs to focus
on itself and their own strengths before entering the series.
The right-arm pacer insisted upon not letting the
hosts already get into their minds, as it would result in England being
defeated eve before they begin the series.

“We’ve got batsmen, bowlers and all-rounders in the
top 10 of the world rankings. Yes, India are a brilliant side, and it would be
one of the most remarkable series victories if we were able to pull it off, but
we know if we get our mindset right we can beat anyone,” Broad said.
