India records 29,690 cases of COVID-19, 341 deaths in last 24 hours

The COVID-19 tally of India on Sunday touched 1,00,31,223 after
29,690 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours. A total of
341 deaths were reported on Saturday taking the death toll of the country to 1,45,477.

There are currently 3,05,344 active cases of coronavirus in
the country and the total number of discharged cases stands at 95,80,402.

The Indian Council of Medical Research on Saturday said that
11,07,681 samples for COVID-19 were tested in the last 24 hours in India and a
total of 16,11,98,195 samples for the coronavirus have been tested in the
nation up to December 19.
