IPL 2021: As Kohli’s RCB clash with Morgan’s KKR, 5 things to watch out for

Fans have witnessed some high drama in the present edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that began on April 9. Skipper Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore have started their this year’s IPL journey with a winning streak by clinching both the games it has played.
Starting at 3.30 pm on Sunday, it’ll clash with skipper Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders, which has won one of the two games it has played.

Here’s a list of five things to watch out for in the KKR vs RCB match:
– Aussie cricketer Glenn Maxwell has contributed exceptionally for the RCB. In the previous matches against MI and SRH, the player made a total of 98 runs with an average strike rate of more than 140. In Sunday’s match as well, it will be interesting to see if Maxwell carries his good form and propels RCB to victory.

– Kolkata Knight Riders will look forward to a better batting performance compared to their last match after middle-order collapse against Mumbai Indians. The big players in the team include Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik and Shakib Al Hasan failed to perform well in the middle-order, which eventually led to their defeat against MI in a low-scoring match. It will be interesting to see how KKR’s middle-order performs in Sunday’s match.
– All-rounder Andre Russell has been excellent with the ball after taking a five-wicket haul against defending IPL champions Mumbai Indians, but he has failed to make a mark in the batting department. It’ll be interesting to see his performance with the bat in the match against RCB.
– It will be interesting to watch out for RCB bowler Harshal Patel, who scored a five-wicket haul against Mumbai and took a couple of wickets in the second match against SRH. He has been with the ball and has been greatly economical in the two matches. Patel’s performance in the match against KKR will be crucial.
