IPL 2022: Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lucknow Super Giants lock horns in battle for top-spot

A big win and the Lucknow Super Giants or the Royal Challengers Bangalore can go on top of the IPL 2022 points table. The two sides occupy the second and third spot respectively with eight points in six games. They will lock horns at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on Tuesday.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore come to this game after securing a 16-run win over the Delhi Capitals. They will be banking on the likes of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed to continue their fine form and take the team home against KL Rahul and co.
Maxwell, who joined the team late, blasted 55 of 34 balls to get the momentum going in the chase against DC. Dinesh Karthik is RCB’s highest run-scorer currently, with 197 runs against his name. He has been dismissed in IPL 2022 only once.

However, the likes of former skipper Virat Kohli and young opener Anuj Rawat still have to show some consistency.
On the bowling front, Josh Hazlewood bowled an exceptional spell against DC that swayed the match in RCB’s favour and the Australian pacer would be eager to continue in the same vein. Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga will be key in stopping Rahul and Co.
On the other hand, the Lucknow Super Giants come with an 18-run win against the Mumbai Indians. Skipper KL Rahul, opener Quinton de Kock, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda have been carrying the team to wins this season.
