IPL teams working closely with BCCI for travel safety after COVID breach

After breach in the bio-bubble of the Indian Premier League (IPL), many foreign
players, who travelled to India for the league, are worried about their health
and ways to return to their countries. 

Mumbai
Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) released
a statement, saying that they are working closely with the BCCI and
making travel arrangements for the players.

Previously,
when Australia announced travel ban on people travelling from India, BCCI had released a statement
saying that they will take the responsibility of making
sure each and every player reaches back home safe and sound as many players
taking part in the Indian Premier League are from other countries.

IPL has
been currently suspended until further notice because of the breach in the
bio-bubble. Two players from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sandeep Warrier and Varun Chakaravarthy, were the first ones
to be infected with the virus, which led to postponing of the KKR vs RCB match.
All the other franchises were advised to test all the players and staff members
and to self-isolate themselves.

India is
one of the worst hit countries in the second wave of COVID-19. There is severe
hospital beds, oxygen and vaccine shortage in the country.
