JEE Main 2021: Exam guidelines, dress code | All you need to know

Admit cards for JEE Main February 2021 session have been issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It has been released on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, NTA has not specified a dress code for JEE Main 2021, but it has mentioned what items are not allowed, be it on clothing or otherwise.

All the guidelines related to dress code for the February exam which the NTA has issued are mentioned below:

1. Electronic watches are not allowed in the exam hall.

2. Metallic objects are not allowed while appearing for JEE Main Exam 2021, in which case any kind of ornament or jewellery is prohibited in the exam venue. 

3. Students appearing for the exam are not allowed to cover their head with cap or dupatta unless it customary dress for which they have prior permission. Candidates who carry Kara or Kirpan will have to report an hour before the gate closing time.

4. Candidates are not allowed to carry handbags, gadgets, electronic items or communication devices in the exam room. 

5. In the wake of pandemic situation hovering around, it is essential that the students dress according to the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry. It mainly includes face masks, gloves and other such items. Candidates will have to report earlier than usual for phased entry. they will also be allowed to carry food items too, but will have to leave those at the entry point.

Exam guidelines issued for February 2021:

1. Students appearing for the exams will have to keep essential items such as sanitiser, face masks, gloves, water and some food. Food can be left at the entry point.

2. All the students have been asked to maintain social distancing and not crowd the entry gates.

3. Candidates are asked to avoid reaching late and plan their entry and reporting on time.

4. Candidates who have diabetes are allowed to carry eatables and water to the exam hall. They can carry fruits and glucose tablets in addition to the water bottle which they have to carry in transparent bottle.

5. Candidates must not forget to carry their admit card, photo ID and any other documents as specified by NTA for the exam.
