Jhulan Goswami, India’s top pacer in the ongoing championship, became the highest ever wicket-taker in the history of ICC Women’s World Cup. Goswami broke the record after dismissing West Indies player Anisa Mohammed on Saturday, claiming her 40th wicket.

Goswami, 39, came at par with Australia’s Lyn Fullston on Thursday after she took her 39th wicket in the Women’s World Cup.

Goswami, who is often referred to as ‘Chakda Express’, is one of the most senior players to be in the Indian Women’s cricket team as of now. She made her international cricket debut in 2002.

Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma will be featuring in a biopic of Goswami, the title of which is a reference to her nickname.
