The Idukki
constituency is currently being held by KEC(M) MLA Roshy Augustine who defeated
independent candidate Adv K Francis George in 2016. The seat, one of Kerala’s
140 assembly constituencies, falls under then Idukki Lok Sabha constituency.

Congress
MP Dean Kuriakose currently holds the Idukki Lok Sabha seat, defeating Joice
George of the LDF in the 2019 General Elections.

Idukki has
been shared by Congress and KEC(M) candidates in the past. While Congress has
