‘Light a lamp for soldiers’, says PM Modi on ‘Mann Ki Baat’
- The PM said the soldiers are serving the nation even as the people are celebrating festivals
- He also asked people to not let their guard down against the coronavirus
- This was the 70th edition of PM Modi's radio programme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the nation through his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, said, “India firmly stands with country’s brave soldiers and security forces,” urging people to light a lamp for soldiers while celebrating festivals.
PM Modi said the soldiers are serving the nation even as the people in the country are celebrating festivals.
“Lots of festivals like Eid, Diwali will take place at this time of the year. We must remember soldiers protecting our borders while celebrating festivals, light a ”diya” for them in your homes,” PM Modi said in his monthly radio address.
The Prime Minister also asked people to not let their guard down and be cautious while celebrating festivals amid the coronavirus pandemic.
This was the 70th edition of PM Modi’s radio programme.
