Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze, arrested in Mukesh Ambani car bomb row, suspended
- Sachin Vaze was linked to the discovery of the explosive-filled car in front of industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence
- He was on Monday put under suspension
- Waze had faced interrogation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday
Sachin Hindurao Waze, a Mumbai police officer arrested in connection with the discovery of an explosive-filled vehicle near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence last month, has been placed under suspension by an order of Addl CP Special Branch, ANI reported, quoting Mumbai Police PRO, S Chaitanya.
Earlier, Waze was interrogated on Saturday in National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) Cumballa Hill office in Mumbai for 12 hours before his arrest took place. He had reportedly gone there to record his statement, as per PTI.

He was removed from the crime branch last week.
Waze has also been facing questions surrounding Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiran’s death. Hiran had been identified as the custodian of the vehicle found beside Ambani’s house, and was later found dead in a Thane creek.

The car contained several gelatin stick and threat letters.
