The sources said that the India-Pakistan border will also not allow the public due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The retreat ceremony has been closed for the public since March 7, 2020, after the outbreak of coronavirus.

The Beating Retreat ceremony is held at the Wagah-Attari border every year on January 26, conducted by the BSF personnel. The retreat ceremony started in 1959 at Joint Check Post (JCP) at the Wagah-Attari border.
