Opposition to bring no-confidence motion against Kerala’s Vijayan govt

Leader of Opposition in the Kerala state assembly Ramesh Chennithala has said that they will be bring a no-confidence motion against the state government in the Assembly on Monday, reported ANI.

A one-day assembly session will be held on Monday and the Opposition is demanding resignation of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan accusing him of rampant corruption.

“We are demanding the resignation of Kerala CM because of rampant corruption on the pretext of the ongoing pandemic and during the last four years. That’s why are moving a no-confidence motion in the 1-day long session of the assembly on 24th August,” said Chennithala.

The Opposition has been attacking the state government after an official of the CM office was found guilty of being involved in a gold smuggling case.
