‘Grateful for love’ from India, says ‘pawry’ girl Dananeer Mobeen after viral video

Pakistan’s ‘pawry’ girl Dananeer Mobeen, who rocked the social media platforms with her five-second video, says it was a ‘random video’ that she never intended to upload. The 19-year-old shot to fame as her video went viral triggering a meme fest that touched sports, entertainment and political personalities alike, across geographical boundaries.

“It was the most random video. I initially had no intention of uploading it,” Mobeen said, expressing surprise at how viral it had gone and adding the trend showed the power and reach of social media, reports Reuters.
“I’m honoured and grateful for all the love across the border,” said Mobeen, according to the agency

The video shot in the Nathaigali mountains of northern Pakistan and uploaded on Instagram shows a group of youngsters enjoying themselves by a roadside. The camera then focuses on her and she casually says, “Yeh hum hai, yeh hamari car hain, yeh hamari ‘pawri’ ho rahi hai,” (This is our car, this is us, and this is our party going on).
The video soon became the centre of many campaigns, be it on cricket, police, defence or film actors.
Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone shared her own version of the meme, which also went viral.
Dairy company Amul, which shares quirky advertisements on trending issues, too shared its”pav-tea” version of the meme.

Mobeen told Reuters that ever since her video went viral, she has received several acting and modelling offers. She, however, aspires to join Pakistan’s foreign services.
