PM Modi posts video of his Kolkata visit, thanks state for ‘overwhelming affection’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visited Kolkata to commemorate freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, on Saturday. The day was celebrated as ‘Parakram Divas’ and the PM delivered a speech at the city’s Victoria Memorial Hall.
Thanking the east Indian state for its “overwhelming affection”, Modi on Sunday shared a video that captured some of the highlights from the Parakram Divas programme.

“125 years ago, on this day, a brave son was born in India who gave different directions to the dream of an independent India,” says Modi in the video, paying tribute to the Indian freedom fighter.
“For people with strong intentions like him (Netaji), nothing is impossible,” he adds.
The Prime Minister also noted that positive changes taking place in a ‘new India today’ would make Netaji Subhas Bose very proud.
