Prince Philip funeral: The 30 guests who will be in attendance
- The ceremony will be held at St George's Chapel in Windsor
- About 700 personnel from British armed forces to give ceremonial support
- A four-people choir will sing songs chosen by Prince Philip himself
The guest list for the Late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip’s funeral has been limited to 30 guests only due to the COVID-19 pandemic. None of Prince Philip’s grandchildren will be in attendance.
The ceremony will be held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, west of London on Saturday, April 17 at 10 am ET.
About 700 personnel from the Royal Air Force, British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Marines are set to give ceremonial support in the funeral, reported CNN.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson while talking about the scaled-down ceremony said the colourful traditions of a royal funeral will be retained and “are a reflection of The Duke’s military affiliations and personal elements of His Royal Highness’s life.”
He added, “The tributes received from young and old are truly a testament to the remarkable life and lasting endeavours of His Royal Highness,” and said that the royal family is “grateful” for all the condolence messages they are receiving from around the world, reported CNN.

Queen Elizabeth II, wife of late Prince Philip will not be taking part in the procession before the service as per media reports.

The Prince of Wales — the Queen and Philip’s eldest son and heir to the throne, Prince Charles — will be joined by his second wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. He will walk in procession his sister Princess Anne other members of the royal family behind a specially modified Land Rover carrying Philip’s coffin through the castle grounds, reported AFP.
Prince William, Charles’ eldest son and next in line to the throne, will attend with his wife Kate.

This would mark Prince Harry’s first public appearance with his family after he and his wife Meghan Markle quit their royal duties last year. Prince Harry’s wife, Duchess of Sussex will not be attending the funeral as she is pregnant with the royal couple’s second child. They also gave a revelatory interview recently Oprah talking about their lives as royals.
Prince Andrew, the Duke of York who also exited his frontline royal duties in 2019 following his problematic interview about friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein will be making his first public appearance on April 17.

A four people choir will be singing songs chosen by Prince Philip himself. The clergy officiating the ceremony would be–Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and David Conner, the Dean of Windsor.
