Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas to announce Oscar nominations on March 15

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to her social media handles to reveal that she along with her husband, American singer Nick Jonas, will announce the nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards on March 15.

In a cute video, Priyanka is seen asking fans to ‘tell me we are announcing the Oscar nominations without telling me we are announcing Oscar nominations’. Nick further added telling her that she has already informed everyone about the good news.

The couple then come together to share their excitement for the nominations in the video.

“Hey @TheAcademy, any chance I can announce the Oscar nominations solo? Just kidding, love you @nickjonas! We are so excited to be announcing the #OscarNoms on Monday, March 15th at 5:19AM PDT! Watch it live on @TheAcademy’s Twitter!,” she posted.

The Academy Awards, which was initially scheduled to take place in early February, was pushed because of COVID-19. The virtual event will now take place on April 26.

Priyanka’s ‘The White Tiger’ is also expected to get a couple of nominations as the film has already made it to the top 15 list of the nominees in several categories.

The film’s lead actor Adarsh Gourav has already got the BAFTA nods for Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Male) for Adarsh Gourav.
