Ramadan, which begins on the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is one of the most auspicious months for Muslims. The word Ramadan comes from the Arabic word “Ramida or Ar- Ramad” which means sun-baked ground and parched thrust. Chickpea Salad- Chickpea salad is a must during Ramadan. Generally, people after a long fast prefer something light and chickpea salad with green vegetables, lemon and a pinch of salt is always the best option.
