In this article, we will discuss some breathtaking Indian tourist destinations that have mandated travel permits for Indians as well. Let’s get started.

Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh, the beautiful land of hills, has been marked as a sensitive territory because its shares its border with Bhutan, Myanmar, and China. Due to this reason, every non-local visitor requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to visit Arunachal Pradesh.

An ILP can be obtained from the resident commissioner, the government of Arunachal Pradesh from Kolkata, New Delhi, Shillong, and Guwahati. A single e-ILP or Group e-ILP will cost you around Rs 100 per person for a maximum of 30 days.

Nagaland

Just like Arunachal Pardesh, travelling to Nagaland also requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP). The place is tourists’ all-time favourite holiday destination owing to Nagaland’s rich heritage and interesting tribal culture.

Mizoram

Since Mizoram shares a border with Bangladesh and Myanmar, an inner line permit is therefore mandatory to enter the region. An ILP can be obtained from the government of Mizoram from Kolkata, Silchar, Shillong, Guwahati, and New Delhi. If you are travelling by air, you can obtain the passes from the security officer on arrival at Lengpui Airport, Aizawl. A temporary permit will cost you a minimum of Rs 120.

Lakshadweep

The beauty of the Lakshadweep Islands is unparallel and one will be allowed into the island only after an entry permit is obtained. For this, you will need a clearance certificate from a police station in your locality along with your identification documents.

The permit has to be submitted later to the station house officer in Lakshadweep.
