Attorney General he worked for three years from June 2014 to June 2017.
Earlier, he also served as additional Solicitor general of India.

Mukul Rohatgi Early Life
Mukul was
keen to take up law as a profession from his childhood because his father was a
judge at Delhi High Court, Justice Awadh Behari Rohatgi who represented in the
year 2002 the Government of Gujarat in the Supreme Court in the Gujarat riots
and suspected murder cases, including the Good Baking and Zahira Sheikh cases.
Mukul has
completed his graduation in law from prestigious Government Law College in
Mumbai. After completing his law studies, he began practicing under Yogesh
Kumar Sabharwal, who later became the 36th Chief Justice of India. He started
working with him in the Supreme Court and later began her legal career. He was
appointed senior counsel by the Delhi High Court on June 3, 1993. In 1999, he was appointed Add Solicitor
General of India to the Vajpayee government, an appointment that led to his
transfer to the Supreme Court.

Now, Mukul
will represent Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood star Shahrukh khan in his plea
before Bombay High Court seeking bail in the cruise ship drug case. Attorney
General Mukul Rohatgi was briefed by Karanjawala & Co Partners Sandeep
Kapur and Ruby Singh Ahuja. The matter will be heard today, October 26 before
Judge Nitin Sambre.

Khan is
seeking bail in the High Court after the Magistrate’s and Sessions Courts
rejected his bail application. When Advocate Satish Maneshinde appeared in the
Khan Magistrate’s Court, Senior Counsel Amit Desai was the lead counsel in the
Interim Court along with Satish Maneshinde.
