- Jawan will release sometime in 2023
- The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role
- It is reported that Vijay will not charge for a cameo in Jawan
After spotting superstars Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan together in a picture posted by Atlee, fans of the Tamil actor seem to be growing more certain that he will star in SRK’s upcoming movie Jawan.
Atlee posted a picture on his Twitter with the two superstars on either side of him, all of them wearing black. Vijay was dressed in formals, a black shirt and dress pants with a black belt. Shah Rukh Khan opted for a more casual look instead, in a black t-shirt and black denims. Atlee chose to wear a black sweatshirt with a similar coloured t-shirt underneath with a pair of jeans and a black chain peaking out. The 36-year-old had the largest smile on his face, flanked by two of the biggest titans in their respective industries.
He captioned the photograph:
“What more can I ask on my bday , the best bday ever wit my pillars. My dear @iamsrk sir & ennoda annae ennoda thalapathy [my brother, my leader] @actorvijay“
The Tamil director is currently directing Shah Rukh Khan in his latest film, Jawan. The film stars Nayanthara, Sany Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi and Priyamani. The music for Jawan is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
There has been speculation since the announcement of the film that Vijay would be making a cameo appearance, with Atlee’s picture only solidifying the theory in the minds of fans. Vijay is rumoured to not be charging for the cameo appearance, according to the Indian Express.
This isn’t Vijay’s first cameo appearance in a Bollywood film. He made an appearance in the Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdhy Rathore in 2012. The film was directed by Prabhudheva.
Jawan is expected to come out sometime next year with Shah Rukh Khan taking on a dual role. Film crew of the movie were recently spotted in Chennai, where Shah Rukh Khan reportedly met Tamil legend Rajnikanth, who is also shooting for his own movie, Jailer.
