Brothers collect water from more than 150 rivers for Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya
- The duo collected water from 151 rivers, 8 big rivers and 3 seas
- They reached Ayodhya ahead of Ram Temple Bhoomi Pujan
- The ceremony is scheduled for August 5
Two brothers, who have collected water from more than 150 rivers have reached Ayodhya as the city gears up for the foundation laying ceremony of the Ram temple on August 5. The duo have been collecting water and soil from different rivers and seas across India and Sri Lanka since 1968.
“Since 1968, we’ve collected water from 151 rivers, 8 big rivers, 3 seas and soil from 16 places of Sri Lanka,” said Radhe Syam Pandey, one of the brothers.
On August 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone in a grand ceremony in Ayodhya, for the construction of the Ram temple. Ahead of the ceremony, PM Modi will first visit Hanumangarhi, a shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman to offer prayers. According to news agency ANI, seven minutes have been allocated for PM Modi at the shrine for prayers and rituals. The priests have been directed to maintain social distancing norms while conducting prayers.
The bhoomi pujan is being organised by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust and after the foundation laying ceremony by PM Modi, the construction of Ram Temple will begin.
