Seven-year-old becomes world’s youngest author, gets title of Grandmaster in Writing’

The International Book of Records has recognised seven-year-old Abhijita Gupta as the world’s youngest author and the Asia Book of Records has conferred her with the title of ‘Grandmaster in Writing,’ reported ANI.
Her book, which is titled ‘Happiness All Around,’ is an anthology of short stories and poems with illustrations acclaimed globally. As per the International Book of Records, the seven-year-old is the youngest author ever to write poetry and prose.
Abhijita belongs to the third generation of the renowned poet duo-Rashtrakavi Maithilisharan Gupt and Santkavi Shri Siyaramsharan Gupt. She started writing at the tender age of five, although most of her writing took place during the lockdown.
Abhijita, who is a student of Class 2, shared her passion for writing and said, “The surroundings and even the little things inspire me. I write about positive things – what I hear, see or feel.”
She also shared her favourite poems, which include ‘Mother Earth’, ‘Let’s try, let’s fly’, ‘Study is my best buddy’, and ‘Precious Friendship.’
She stay in Ghaziabad with her father Ashish Gupta, who is a chartered accountant by profession and mother Anupriya Gupta who is an engineer-turned-entrepreneur.
Proud of their daughter’s achievements, her parents said, “Every parent has a dream to be known by his child. For us, it came too soon. Abhijita’s book will leave a positive impact on society and inspire kids of her age.”
Abhijita’s book is one of the few for children that has been authored for a child. Published by Invincible Publishers, it is available both as a hard copy and on Kindle. Her next book, which elaborates her views on the pandemic, too will be released soon.
