Answer: Lutetia
Lutetia is the ancient name of French capital Paris. It was founded in middle of the 3rd century BCE by a Gallic tribe called Parisii. The city showed traces of earlier Neolithic settlement and was an important crossing point of the Seine.
Roman Lutetia was a significantly smaller village than today’s Paris, occupying just the modern city’s 5th arrondissement. The Arènes de Lutèce and the Thermes de Cluny are remnants of the Roman city that may still be seen in this portion of the current city.
Several ruins like a forum, amphitheater, and Roman baths were found. It became the capital of the Merovingian dynasty of French kings in the fifth century and was then known as Paris.
