Social media users were quick to comment on the incident.
“You can clearly see the knee buckle there. Just terrible,” said a twitter user.
“Hate to speculate. This looks like an acl by the separation. Hopefully nothing serious,” wrote another.
“Towards the end of his right knee bending after he planted you can see it pop. Torn ACL. Absolutely terrible,” a third user commented.
“This sucks. NFL needs as many of its stars as possible. Hope he’s alright,” added a fourth.
The 25-year-old quarterback was carted off from the field after his no touch injury and is expected to be out of action for a while. The injury is a big blow for the Cardinals as Murray is their starting quarterback and has had a creditable 2022 season with 14 touchdowns for 2,359 yards. He was replaced by Colt McCoy.
Earlier in the month, the Arizona cardinals’ player had been in the news after a war of words with Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback Patrick Peterson. Peterson’s comments that Murray doesn’t care about anyone apart from himself had led to a spat between the two. However, the Vikings’ cornerback clarified that he didn’t mean any disrespect and only spoke what he saw.

The Arizona Cardinals are in an effectively must-win situation as they are placed third in the NFC West division ahead of defending champions Los Angeles Rams. The team from Arizona have lost eight of their 12 matches in the season and cannot afford another loss.
