Bijan Robinson’s juke from ESPN’s Toy Story broadcast goes viral
Toy Story version of Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Bijan Robinson juking Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Chad Muma has gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Here is the clip:
In Sunday morning’s game against the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London, Robinson took Jaguars linebacker Muma out of the picture with this quick pass from quarterback Desmond Ridder. While his action looked cool in real life, it looked equally enjoyable in ESPN’s Toy Story broadcast, as well.
It was announced earlier that the “Toy Story” universe will be taking in an NFL game for the first time. Sunday’s will be contested inside Andy’s room as part of an alternate telecast.

This is the second time this year ESPN has done an animated alternate broadcast using Disney characters. The first one was back in March when it aired the “NHL Big City Greens Classic” during a game between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers.
Alternate broadcasts of NFL games have been successful for the NFL, including the “ManningCast” during “Monday Night Football” and playoff games.
Tim Reed, the network’s vice president of programming, said the NHL game proved that the network can target other games as well for alternate broadcasts in the future.

“We looked at a lot of different concepts and then ultimately targeted ‘Toy Story’ because it resonates with older generations and kids together. It is also a way to promote and build awareness for the ESPN+ exclusive game,” he said.
For Sunday’s game, the telecast was entirely animated. The players’ movements were in sync with what was happening in real-time on the field as it used the technology of player-tracking data enabled by the NFL’s Next Gen Stats system and Beyond Sports.
