Iyer and Rishabh Pant added 96 runs for the fourth wicket en route to their respective fifties to help Delhi stay alive in the match. However, Mumbai controlled the death overs to fizzle out a Delhi onslaught, restricting them to a total of 156/7. The defending champions got off to a great start in the chase as well, with Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma scoring 45 runs in four overs. The skipper went on to score a 51-ball 68 to put his team on the brink of victory are excellent support from Ishan Kishan, who stuck till the end to see out the win.
