IPL 2021: Red-hot Delhi Capitals aim to crush resurgent Rajasthan Royals

Delhi Capitals will seek to keep their winning momentum going when they take on a resurgent Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Saturday. DC has enjoyed a brilliant first leg of the league, winning six out of 8 games played.
The second phase saw them cruise to an 8-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad as they maintained their top spot in the cash-rich league.
The Rajasthan-based franchise, on the other hand, will be coming into the match riding on a thrilling victory against the Punjab Kings.
With the win, they have bridged the gap on the playoff spots. A victory against Delhi will take them to the fourth.
For Rajasthan, youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mahipal Lomror rose to the occasion with the bat against Punjab but skipper Sanju Samson will be expected to take more responsibility.
In the bowling department, pacers Kartik Tyagi and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman did the job in the end.
The former champions will look to keep the winning momentum going and bag two more points.
The Royals will be up against a formidable Delhi team with openers Shikhar Dhawan, the leading run-scorer of the tournament this season, and Prithvi Shaw looking in solid form.
Dhawan (422 runs) and Shaw (319 runs) have provided flying starts to their side with six half-centuries between them along with 88 fours and 21 sixes.
Apart from the openers, Delhi have got their middle-order sorted with the likes of Steve Smith, Shimron Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis.
In the bowling department, the Pant-led team has the likes of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada, who on any good stay, can dismantle any opposition.
