Virat Kohli has gone down a spot in the ICC ODI rankings after South African batter Rassie van der Dussen came up to the third position. Kohli is currently occupying the fourth spot, followed by Rohit Sharma in the fifth, according to the latest rankings.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq have managed to hold on to their spots as the no. 1 and no.2 batters in the ICC Men’s ODI Rankings. The newest entrant to the top five, Rassie van der Dussen scored a memorable 134 off 117 balls recently, in the first ODI against England on July 19. This helped the 33-year-old to register his career-best ranking in the ODI.

Rassie van der Dussen’s inclusion in the top five resulted in his compatriot Quinton de Kock’s drop to the sixth place in the rankings.

Interestingly, Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq are the only players in the list who have amassed 800+ points, with the former only eight points short of making 900. Azam also has a 102 points lead over the best ranked Indian batter on the list, Virat Kohli, who has only 790 points.

Meanwhile, Indian pair Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, who led the Men in Blue to the ODI series win in England, have been rewarded with huge gains in the latest rankings.

Pant, who scored his first ODI century against England, is currently positioned at the 52nd place.

Pandya, who was one of the most crucial players in India’s series win over England, has advanced to the 42nd spot among batters. The Indian all-rounder also performed well while bowling against England, registering his best-ever ODI figure of 4/24. He has now finished at the 70th spot among bowlers.

Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan leads the chart in ICC’s all-rounder rankings. Meanwhile, Pandya’s position has remained unchanged at the eighth spot. He is also the only Indian all-rounder inside the top 10.

New Zealand star Trent Boult surpassed India’s Jasprit Bumrah at the top of ICC Men’s ODI Bowling rankings. Bumrah has dropped down to second place with 703 points.

Boult and Bumrah are the only players in the bowlers’ list who have 700+ points. The third, fourth and fifth spots are occupied by Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi, New Zealand’s Josh Hazlewood and Afghan ace Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
