One Twitter user reacted to the video saying, “Newest Chiefs WR Rashee Rice tells me he worked out with Patrick Mahomes during workouts in Texas this month. Says Mahomes already reached out to him tonight and he owes him a callback.” while another tweeted, “We got new #Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice on Zoom. Of course, he’s excited to play with Patrick Mahomes. He had a couple of training sessions with Mahomes. Mahomes called him while he was on hold with the Chiefs and he told Mahomes he would call him back.”
A third Twitter user said, “Can’t wait for the Patrick Mahomes to Rashee Rice connection this season, gonna be a dangerous duo”
When Rashee Rice takes the field with quarterback Patrick Mahomes for the first time in a Chiefs uniform, it won’t be his first time with the star. Rice worked out with Mahomes in Texas prior to the pick, just like fellow incoming rookie Zay Flowers, who was chosen by the Ravens on Thursday night.
“It was great,” Rice said, via Nate Taylor of TheAthletic.com. “You can’t complain. He put it right where it needed to be.”
