According to reports, Luis Rubiales, the president of the Spanish Football Federation, submitted FIFA a video that appears to show Jenni Hermoso making light of their kiss.
Ever since his nation’s 1-0 victory in the Women’s World Cup final, Rubiales has been at the centre of a maelstrom of criticism in Spain.
Rubiales grabbed Hermoso without her permission and kissed her after the victory over England.
81 players have now stated that they will not play for Spain unless Rubiales is fired, and she later admitted that she did not enjoy the kiss. In an odd turn of events, his mother has gone on a hunger strike and is pleading with Hermoso to “tell the truth” about what took place.
In a recording shared on social media, Rubiales appeared in the women’s changing room and announced to the players that the RFEF would treat them all to a trip to Ibiza.
He then joked that during their island getaway, they would all “celebrate the wedding of Jenni and Luis Rubiales” (referring to himself in the third person). His announcement was met with cheers from the squad, who seemed to make light of the whole situation.
Rubiales has said that the kiss was “consensual” time and time again. He is being looked at for his actions.
Recently, fresh video from the Spanish national team bus has surfaced, purporting to show Hermoso amusing herself by making jokes about the kiss on social media. Along with a photo of Iker Casillas kissing reporter Sara Carbonero after the La Roja men’s team won the 2010 World Cup, she appears to display a screen capture of historic incident.

The crew then appeared to sing the word “beso,” which means “kiss,” as Rubiales boarded the bus.
FIFA has suspended him, but in an effort to defend himself, the president of the Spanish federation has now provided the organisation the footage, according to El Espanol.
It’s unclear how FIFA will react to Rubiales delivering them the video, but the story has dominated Spanish press coverage.
