British boxer Tyson Fury‘s thrilling 11th-round knockout against Deontay Wilder to retain his WBC heavyweight crown on Saturday triggered a tsunami of tributes and congratulatory messages from sports fans across the globe. Fury, the now undisputed king of WBC, retained his heavyweight title by finishing the three-bout series with two wins and a draw.

From his dramatic final knockout against Wilder to the opponent’s wife and reaction and breathtaking live reactions, fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages and memes to celebrate the Gypsy King’s victory.

A video of Tyson Fury sending gratitude to his fans and supporters after, what sports lovers are calling an epic fight, also went viral on social media.

In his message, Fury called himself the “best in the world” and also lauded his opponent Wilder calling him the second best. He added that the fight was indeed a tough one.

“I want to thank everybody in this building who came out to show support for my sports boxing. Thank you to every man, woman and child in the building tonight,” Fury said to his fans after the fight.

The winning boxer further added that the “fight of October 9, 2021, will go down the history as a great fight, I hope.”

On being asked what’s going to be his next move, Fury replied by saying that he will first thank his trainer, Sugar Hill because if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have got through that fight.”

Tyson Fury on Saturday defeated Deontay Wilder by delivering a thrilling knockout in the 11th round claiming a TKO victory in Las Vegas.

Fury was floored twice in the fourth round as the ‘Bronze Bomber’ landed hard rights in quick succession after hitting the mat himself in the third.

The win saw Fury extend his unbeaten streak to 32 fights, which include 22 knockouts. This was his second straight knockout in three bouts against Wilder, bringing one of the great modern-era heavyweight boxing trilogies to a close.
