Albert Pujols, who was recently released by Major League Baseball’s team Los Angeles Angels close to the expiration of his 10-year contract, was usually seen playing first baseman or a left fielder.
Pujols was born in the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic on January 16, 1980 and started his baseball journey nearly two decades later after being drafted by St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th round of the 1999 MLB June Amateur Draft. He was drafted from the Community College in Maple Woods, Kansas. Pujols went to Fort Osage high school in Kansas.

The 41-year-old has secured the title of ‘Most Valuable Player’ in 2005, 2008 and 2009 in the National League while being associated with the Cardinals. He also became an All-Star player for 9 years. However, after joining the LA Angles, Pujols has made only one such appearance in 2015.
Pujols has often received praise for his game technique from team members and other baseball stars. The consistency and form in his swing have been adopted by many budding MLB players.
